Less scrolling. More living.

A keypad, a small screen, no feeds. Your phone becomes a tool again, not a place you live in.

Use the phone you already own.

No new device to buy if your classic phone is supported. Give a working phone a second life.

Stay reachable.

The people who matter can still reach you on the apps they already use — within the limits we list below.

How it works

  1. Check your phone. KeyAgain targets classic phones that run Java apps — Nokia Series 40 / S60 and Motorola models from the 2000s. Not every model works; we test them one by one and publish the results.
  2. Install a tiny app. About 150 KB, downloaded straight to the phone.
  3. Pair and go. Type a 6-digit code once. A lightweight server does the heavy lifting, so your phone can stay simple.

The phones we’re bringing back

Nokia

Working

Where it all started. Running in our tests on the Nokia E71, the 6600, an XpressMusic and smaller Series 40 phones. We test model by model.

Motorola

Working on RAZR V3

In our tests, a 2004 RAZR V3 sends and receives messages and voice notes. Other Motorola models are next.

BlackBerry

Working on a BlackBerry Curve

BlackBerry switched off its legacy services in 2022, and most classic BlackBerrys lost their data. Our app connects on its own — and it’s running in our tests on a BlackBerry Curve.

Brand names are used only to describe compatibility. KeyAgain is not affiliated with Nokia, Motorola or BlackBerry.

Will it work where I live?

Classic phones go online over 2G (or Wi-Fi, on some models). 2G is being switched off country by country, so this matters more than the phone itself. As of October 2026:

Operators change dates. Always check with yours. Full guide on The Old Phone Revival.

Questions

Is this an official WhatsApp or Telegram app?

No. KeyAgain is an independent project and is not affiliated with WhatsApp, Telegram, Nokia, Motorola or BlackBerry. We list how each integration works and its known risks.

Do I need to buy a new phone?

Not if your classic phone is supported and a network still reaches it where you live. We don’t sell phones.

Will it work on every Nokia?

No. It depends on the model, firmware, network and feature. The original Nokia 3310, for example, can’t run apps at all.

What happens to my messages?

Old phones can’t run modern messaging apps, so your messages pass through our server to reach the phone. A full privacy policy will be published before the beta opens.
